PR News: eM’s weekly comms round-up 05 Dec 16

What’s this week about?

In this week’s PR News update Emlo’s MD, Marisa Louw, takes a look at some predictions for social media and social media marketing in 2017.

Video and Live Streaming dominates trends for 2017

Video and Live Streaming dominates trends across all social media platforms for 2017. Facebook’s shift to video content will most likely see the platform becoming ‘mostly video’ by 2020. Similarly, Pinterest’s video content increased by 60% in the past year and this is forcing users to make the switch to more engaging, moving, Pins.

360 Content and Virtual Reality

With smartphones and other devices enabling brands and end-users to create 360 content, some social networks have started providing tools to help more users get on the 360 bandwagon. This is the reason that we, at Emlo Communications, decided to team up with a specialist in 360 content and virtual reality (VR) to offer our clients the latest trends when it comes to content marketing in 2017.  Marnus van Wyngaardt is equipped with the necessary 360 and VR recording devices that will help your brand stand out head-and-shoulders above the rest in the New Year. If you would like for us to present some ideas for your brand, do not hesitate to contact me.
