What is the difference between Marketing and Marketing Communication?
Marketing is used to create, keep and satisfy the customer. With the customer as the focus of its activities, it can be concluded that Marketing is one of the premier components of Business Management – the other being Innovation.
Marcom uses different marketing channels and tools in combination: Marketing communication channels focus on anyway a business communicates a message to its desired market or the market in general. A marcom tool can be anything from advertising, personal selling, direct marketing, sponsorship, digital communication, promotion and public relations.
One of the primary goals of marketing communication is to persuade consumers, by either changing their perception of a brand, product or service, or persuading them to purchase (or feel motivated/tempted to purchase) a product or service.
